When Opportunity Knocks…
with prizes ranging from cash bonuses to Hawaiian
vacations. Of these top performers, four Brand
GMs of the year were chosen, culminating with the
announcement of a single Brinker International
GM of the Year, John Gerarde with Maggiano’s
in Las Vegas, Nevada, at our all-employee meeting
last December.
Macaroni Grill also initiated a contest,
Leading From the Heart, which rewarded top
operators with a trip to Italy to meet with
key supplier partners. This contest did more
than drive performance – it also reinforced
the Italian hospitality at the heart of the brand.
In addition to honoring our fellow
BrinkerHeads, we also annually recognize and
reward our outstanding supplier partners
using criteria such as product innovation, savings,
compliance with product specifications, and
customer service. This year’s winners were:

• Image Solutions Apparel
• Joseph’s Pasta Company
• Pilgrim’s Pride
• Syracuse’s Sausage Company
One of our winners, Chris Kelley of Image
Solutions Apparel, is a testament that professional
growth with our company isn’t limited to those
on the Brinker payroll. Ten years ago, Chris started
a business in his apartment. Today, his leading-edge
company supplies T-shirts, aprons, chef coats,
and other workplace apparel for restaurants around
the world, including the entire portfolio of
Brinker brands.
