A WORLD OF PERSONAL GROWTH
We choose our employees not only
for the qualifications they have today, but
also for their potential to grow along with
us. One notable new initiative designed
to help BrinkerHeads hone their skills and
move up into positions of greater responsi-
bility is our Sed de Saber (Thirst for
Knowledge) program. Developed by
Retention Education in partnership with
the Multicultural Foodservice Alliance and the Coca-
Cola Company, Sed de Saber is a voluntary self-paced
course designed to help Spanish-speaking employees
learn English as a second language. More than 30
percent of our employees are Hispanic, and many speak
little or no English.Through Sed de Saber, we aim to
unleash the tremendous potential that this significant
segment of our workforce has to offer. In fact, we’ve
already seen what a difference this program can make,
with employees in a 30-day pilot program showing
marked improvement in their English skills.
A WORLD OF DIVERSITY
Brinker celebrates the differences that bring fresh
perspectives and new ideas to our company, and we’re
honored to be one of FORTUNE magazine’s 50 Top
Employers for Minorities. We actively partner with
professional organizations such as the Women’s
Foodservice Forum, Multicultural Foodservice &
Hospitality Alliance, National Black MBA Association,
and National Society of Hispanic MBAs to increase
the diversity of our talent pool.We also rely on numerous
women- and minority-owned suppliers to deliver many
of the exceptional products and services that set Brinker
apart. In addition, we have a designated director of
diversity and a diversity steering committee to develop
and manage programs geared toward inclusion. And
ongoing cultural awareness initiatives here at Brinker
help coworkers recognize and appreciate the differences
that enhance our business.
A WORLD OF ADMIRATION
Brinker fosters a climate of mutual respect among
its employees, vendors, and the communities it serves. By
helping our partners and team members succeed, we’re
also enhancing the dining experience for our guests and
strengthening our ties with the communities we call home.

»Think globally, act locally.
»Value diversity in people
and perspectives.
»Play well together.
These behaviors not only define
our corporate culture they also
drive our business strategies and
