The graph below compares the cumulative 5-year total return of holders of Avnet, Inc.’
s common stock with the cumulative total
returns of the S&P 500 index and certain of Avnet’
s peer companies in the electronics distribution industry. The graph tracks the
performance of a $100 investment in Avnet’
s common stock, in the peer group, and the index (with the reinvestment of all dividends)
from July 1, 2006 to July 2, 2011. During fiscal 2011, two of the companies included in the Company’
s fiscal 2010 peer group (Bell
Microproducts Inc. and Nu Horizons Electronics Corp) terminated their respective registrations with the SEC. The Company’
s new
peer group consists of Agilysys, Inc., Anixter International, Inc., Arrow Electronics, Inc., Brightpoint, Inc., Ingram Micro, Inc., Insight
Enterprises, Inc., Scansource, Inc., Synnex Corp. and Tech Data Corp. The Company’
s old peer group, which is also included below
for comparative purposes, consisted of Arrow Electronics, Inc., Ingram Micro, Inc., and Tech Data Corp. Bell Microproducts Inc. and
Nu Horizons Electronics Corp are not included in the old peer group below.
