More Than Training
I was in my favorite PetSmart store one day in Downers Grove, Illinois, looking
for new toys for my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy named Logan. While
I was searching for the perfect new toy, I was approached by Wendy, a dog
trainer at PetSmart, to see if I wanted to enroll him in
her puppy kindergarten class. Tears came to my eyes as
I told Wendy that I had talked to a different trainer (not
at PetSmart), who had told me I should just have Logan
euthanized, as he would be unable to benet from any
training. Logan was food aggressive and possessive of his
treats and toys. The previous trainer had told me that he
would only get worse and I should just have him put down now. Wendy had tears
come to her eyes as I told her my story. Because of her empathy and encouraging
words, I enrolled Logan in her class. Logan is now a happy, healthy, wonderful
3 year old dog. I owe my years and memories of Logan to Wendy, as well as all
the years to come. For she may have literally saved his life. Thank you, Wendy!

How PetSmart Helped Raise Little Emma
PetSmart has been there to alleviate my ‘new mommy’ worries. As soon as I got
my puppy Emma we made our way to PetSmart for food. An associate went
through every brand with me until I felt condent I had
chosen one that was not only healthy but affordable. Emma
also enrolled in puppy lessons. She still RUNS for Justin’s
classroom. She’s convinced every associate has a pocket
full of treats and will love to pet her tummy. She’s rarely
disappointed. For Emma’s grooming, Julie is super gentle
and fabulous every time! I was worried Emma would be
scared and not want to come back, but as soon as she entered the store she ran
into an associate’s lap. Thanks to Julie, Justin, and the rest of Kanata’s PetSmart
staff for making each of our visits so special, and we look forward to many more.
