Table of Contents
For the majority of restricted stock units granted, the number of shares issued on the date the restricted stock units vest is net
of the statutory withholding requirements that we pay on behalf of our employees. These withheld shares are not included
within the common stock repurchase totals in the tables above. See “Note 5: Common Stock Repurchases
in Part II, Item 8 of
this Form 10-K for further discussion.
Stock Performance Graph
The line graph below compares the cumulative total stockholder return on our common stock with the cumulative total return
of the Dow Jones Technology Index and the Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 Index for the five fiscal years ended December 29,
2007. The graph and table assume that $100 was invested on December 27, 2002 (the last day of trading for the fiscal year
ended December 28, 2002) in each of our common stock, the Dow Jones Technology Index, and the S&P 500 Index, and that
all dividends were reinvested. Dow Jones and Company, Inc. and Standard & Poor’s Compustat Services, Inc. furnished the
data. Cumulative total stockholder returns for our common stock, the Dow Jones Technology Index, and the S&P 500 Index
are based on our fiscal year.
