Note 11 — Segment Information
The Company operates predominantly in a single industry segment as a distributor of IT products and services.
The Company’s operating segments are based on geographic location, and the measure of segment profit is income
from operations. The Company does not allocate stock-based compensation recognized by FAS 123R to its
operating units; therefore, the Company is reporting this as a separate amount.
Geographic areas in which the Company operated during 2006 include North America (United States and
Canada), Europe (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands,
Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom), Asia-Pacific (Australia, The People’s Republic of
China including Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand), and Latin
America (Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and the Company’s Latin American export operations in Miami). Intergeographic
sales primarily represent intercompany sales that are accounted for based on established sales prices between the
related companies and are eliminated in consolidation.
