A summary of our stock option activity is as follows (in thousands except per share and contractual life amounts):
During fiscal 2014, 2013 and 2012, the total cash received from the exercise of stock options was $896,000 , $2.8 million and $2.1
million , respectively, and the total intrinsic value of stock options exercised was $467,000 , $5.0 million and $7.2 million , respectively.
A summary of our RSU activity is as follows (in thousands except contractual life amounts):
Canceled shares in the table above include approximately 270,000 shares surrendered for tax withholdings related to net share settlements
of vested RSUs.
In connection with our acquisition of skobbler GmbH, or skobbler, in January 2014 (see Note 10 Acquisitions), included in the table above
are approximately 635,000 RSUs granted as inducement grants to the skobbler founders outside of our stock option and equity incentive plans.
During fiscal 2014, we increased the number of shares available for grant under our stock option and equity incentive plans by approximately
1,574,000 shares. During fiscal 2013, we increased the number of shares available for grant under our stock option and equity incentive plan by
2,275,000 shares, which included 621,000 shares from our 2011 Plan assumption through the acquisition of ThinkNear. As of June 30, 2014 and
2013 , there were a total of approximately 605,000 and 852,000 shares available for grant under our stock option and equity incentive plans,
respectively.
