Financial strength to fund the future
Despite the severe economic upheaval in the second
half of Fiscal Year 2009, Logitech remains well
positioned to withstand the impact of the recession
and also to emerge stronger. We ended Fiscal 2009
with nearly half a billion dollars in cash, providing us
with the exibility to invest in our business and in
strategic transactions. We took decisive action to scale
back our cost structure through the combination of a
restructuring and the implementation of aggressive
plans to reduce our variable spending across the
company. Taken together, these actions are expected
to reduce our cost structure for Fiscal 2010 by
approximately $100 million.
