Performance Graph
The following performance graph shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Exchange Act, or incorporated
by reference into any filing of Demand Media under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act, except as shall be
expressly set forth by specific reference in such filing.
The graph compares the cumulative total return of our common stock for the period starting on January 26, 2011, the date of our
initial public offering, and ending on December 31, 2014, with that of the S&P 500 Index and RDG Internet Composite Index over the
same period. The graph assumes that the value of the investment was $100 on January 26, 2011, and that all dividends and other
distributions were reinvested. Such returns are based on historical results and are not intended to suggest future performance.
Unregistered Sales of Equity Securities and Use of Proceeds
We did not issue or sell any equity securities that were not registered under the Securities Act of 1933 during the three months
ended December 31, 2014.
Purchases of Equity Securities by the Issuer and Affiliated Purchasers
Under the stock repurchase plan announced on August 19, 2011 and further increased on February 8, 2012, we are authorized to
repurchase up to $50 million of our common stock from time to time in open market purchases or in negotiated transactions. We did
not repurchase any of our common stock during the three months ended December 31, 2014.
Item 6. Selected Financial Data

that are included elsewhere in this Annual Report on Form 10-K. The consolidated statement of operations data for the years ended
December 31, 2011 and 2010, as well as the consolidated balance sheet data as of December 31, 2012, 2011 and 2010, are derived
from audited consolidated financial statements not included in this Annual Report on Form 10-K. The historical results presented
below are not necessarily indicative of financial results to be achieved in future periods.
