HONORARY CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Hans Werthén
Hans Werthén, Hon. Tech. D. and Honorary
Chairman of the Electrolux Board of Directors, died
on January 1, 2000.
He was President of AB Electrolux from 1967 to
1974, Chairman of the Board from 1974 to 1991,
and Honorary Chairman since 1991.
Under his leadership, Electrolux expanded strongly
to become a world leader in its product areas.
He will be remembered at Electrolux for his
extraordinary talents as a businessman, his inspiring
leadership, and his deep interest in technology.
His passing means that the Swedish business
community has lost one of its most dynamic leaders
during the 20th century.
