Area 1
Anadarko
Chesapeake’s most productive district is
the Anadarko Basin, which is characterized
by a wide variety of play types
and depth ranges, including some
of the most complex and prolific gas
reservoirs in the U.S. Chesapeake’s Buffalo Creek
1-17, with an EUR of almost 50 bcfe, highlights the
potential of deep gas exploration in the Anadarko.

Area 2
Northern Mid-Continent
The Northern Mid-Continent district includes
the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles and
southwest Kansas. This area includes the
nation’s two largest gas fields, Panhandle
and Hugoton. These fields have
been prolific gas producers for more
than 80 years and Chesapeake remains
active in them today, drilling wells and
pursuing production enhancement operations.
