P. 5 SERVICEMASTER 2005 ANNUAL REPORT

We have said that we would diversify our sales channels to ease our
reliance on telemarketing. And in only the second full year of the
National Do-Not-Call Registry, the shrinkage in our telemarketing
channel was more than offset by our expanding competencies in such
channels as neighborhood selling, direct mail and e-commerce.

consulting industry. Dennis Sutton, President of TruGreen ChemLawn,
came to us 28 years ago straight out of college and has worked at
every management level in the business he now leads. Also in 2005,
Rick Ascolese became President of TruGreen LandCare. Rick was
Executive Vice President of American Home Shield, before moving
to LandCare as Chief Operating Officer in 2004. These executive
appointments demonstrate our ability to attract top talent from outside
the company, to help our own talented people develop to their full
potential, to leverage our bench strength across the enterprise, and
to effect leadership change and drive higher performance at the
same time.

our ServiceMaster Clean team focused on their commercial disaster
