Internet, FHS’ Califo rnia health plan members
can have immediate access to their personal
health histo ries and to the mo st up-to - date
health informatio n.
This service, kno wn as Pe rso nal He alth, allo ws
members to sto re, manage and maintain health
informatio n in a private and secure setting.
Co mprised of three pro g rams We llTrack,
We llPro grams and He alth Quo tie nt Pe rso nal
He alth pro vides members with access to health
informatio n, empo wering them to take a mo re
active ro le in their o wn health care.
We llTrack is a perso nal health log that
pro vides members with vital health alerts,
immunizatio n reminders and informatio n on
drug interactio ns and allergies. We llPro grams
pro vides info rmatio n o n such to pics as
prenatal care and fitness, as well as self-
guided smo king c essatio n programs.
He alth Quo tie nt pro files an individual’s
unique health risk and calculates a
universal health index sco re.
Members use it to derive hig hly
perso nalized health informatio n,
helping them to manage
certain health facto rs.
Integrated Pharmaceutical Services (IPS)
IPS, our pharmacy operation, produced outstanding
performance in 1999 as it managed the transition
of certain services to Advance Paradigm. IPS also
continued to achieve excellent results in managing
pharmacy costs for our health plans and govern-
ment contracts business.
While we sold certain back office operations,
we retained our role in managing the preferred
lists of medications offered to our members.We
believe this service is fundamental to our business
and we look forward to continued outstanding
performance from IPS.
Employer and Occupational Services
Division (EOS)
EOS provides a broad range of administrative
services to the workers compensation industry
and others. It is pursuing a number of strategies
for expanding its business with current clients and
developing additional clients in new geographic
regions.
Health Benchmarks, Inc.
In 1999, FHS created Health Benchmarks, Inc. as
an independent subsidiary for health assessment
and improvement programs using data manage-
ment and warehousing tools. As an independent
company, we believe Health Benchmarks will
