25.7 Borrowings
Total borrowings disclosed at note 25.1 and 25.2 above includes,
– unsecured borrowings represented by ` 7,705 Mn as of March 31, 2012 (` 5,468 Mn as of March 31, 2011) and secured
borrowings represented by ` 27,112 Mn as of March 31, 2012 (` 36,816 Mn as of March 31, 2011) pertaining to joint
ventures; and
– unsecured borrowings represented by ` 561,634 Mn as of March 31, 2012 (` 497,080 Mn as of March 31, 2011) and
secured borrowings represented by ` 93,781 Mn as of March 31, 2012 (` 77,344 Mn as of March 31, 2011) pertaining to
Group excluding joint ventures.

25.9 During the year ended March 31, 2012, the Group has fallen short of meeting certain financial covenants with respect
to loan agreements in one of its African subsidiaries. An irrevocable prepayment notice has been issued by the Subsidiary
and has been duly acknowledged by the lender. Accordingly, it has reclassified the non-current portion of the outstanding
amount of ` 4,279 Mn as of March 31, 2012, from non - current borrowing to current borrowing and expensed the entire
unamortized debt origination cost of ` 192 Mn during the year ended March 31, 2012. The total outstanding balance of the
loan is ` 6,477 Mn as of March 31, 2012.
